 In this section, you'll learn how to personalize your text and send it to your email list using other email service provider (ESP) not on our list.

When your Email Service Provider is not in our list of choices, click Custom (Gear) Icon and copy your link.

Let's talk about merge fields.In the links you copied, the merge field is located after the equal sign

In this case there are four merge fields: - firstname_token- lastname_token- email_token- country_token

In this tutorial we are going to create Custom PersonalizedLink for Vertical Response, an email service provider, as an example

Merge fields are used to create personalized texts within your emails. Notice their syntax- {LAST_NAME}- {FIRST_NAME}- {EMAIL_ADDRESS}- {COUNTRY}

Here are the required Vertical Response's merge fields for firstname, lastname, email address and country. 

Now replace the original token merge fields with Vertical Response's merge fields. 

Congrats! You just created a Custom PersonalizedLink for Vertical Response Email Service Provider. 

Please note that merge fields are not the same for other email service providers. Mailchimp has different tags

Now Let's embed our Custom PersonalizedLink into Verticle Response's emailClick link

Click Protocol dropdown menu

Make sure to select https:// 

Paste the Custom PersonalizedLink here 

Click OK

You can also embed links in your imagesClick green highlight

Click replace image

Click browse and upload your image

Past the Custom PersonalizedLink

You have now embedded VideoRemix's Custom PersonalizedLink for Verticle Response in texts and image

Click Send Test to test the email template and see if everything's working correctly
